How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage?

I usually take my car to the dealership I got it from for any problems, or inspection, or filter and oil change.

I'm just wondering, how would I know that my filter and oil were actually changed. I am not there to witness it being done, so how do I know its getting done and they are giving me the right product. How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage? You can pull the dipstick out after an oil change. The new oil is almost invisible and old oil would be almost black. The oil filter will look like brand new. You can tell. How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage?Check you dipstick. If the oil on it is clear then they changed your oil. If it is really dark then they didn't. Also you can see your filter on the passenger side of your engine. An old one will be really dirty on the outside and a new one will be, well shiny new.How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage? You can check your oil's being changed by looking at the oil on your dipstick before taking it in, and again when you get it back. It should be visibly cleaner oil. For the filter, again your best bet would be to look at the filter before taking it in and getting it back, but it would be harder to check if you're being swindled without actually removing the filter and inspecting the inside. How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage?get dirty, crawl under and mark the filter. check your oil right before and after and if its not obviously new oil, raise hell. the best thing to do is let a guy take it. mechanics love to hose womenHow do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage? If you think about it, the people below me think it's simple. But check the color before you get it changed. If you remember it being light and dark it should help you out. Get it checked, then check it yourself after wards. OR, I would say a good solution would be to change the oil filter yourself. Some dealers don't even care about what oil filter and oil they use on your vehicle. Make sure you read the manual for the right oil and filter. Sure hope this helped. How do I know my oil and filer are actually changed when I take my car to the dealership garage?honestly most dealers don't cheat ppl when it comes to oil changes....they actually do them.......

used car lots and some quick lube places do not....

also u cannot tell always if there is new oil if u are getting the cheapest oil change....cheap oil instantly looks black as soon as motor is run.....depending on vehicle may not b able to tell difference.....
