Fill up engine with 4.5 liters of engine oil and check level. A special 76 mm wrench is made to fit the black plastic cover, which must be removed to replace the oil filter element.

Ford Escape 2007 Hybrid Oil Filter change?There is a drain plug on the oil pan at the bottom of motor. Not sure which you have 4 or 6 cyl. the oil filter is there somewhere, on the side mostly, proably behind something so you cant see it. it will be hard to unscrew but once it comes off put a light coat of new oil on the seal and replace put plug back in and refill with prpoer amount.
