The real mans job. How long should it take for a man to be able to change his oil?

The real mans job. How long should it take for a man to be able to change his oil? Any man, ordinary man.?

His Vehicle. His oil. His time. I don't need to know your thought process on how to do it. I want to know how long it takes you to do it and how long it should indeed take any normal man to change his oil.

(Jokes are definitely accepted and considered for a best answer.)The real mans job. How long should it take for a man to be able to change his oil?It takes me a little bit longer than most shops, but I feel that a longer drain time is better because you get more old oil out of it.

I come up with around 45 minutes...

Get out ramps, oil and new filter, drain pan, paper towels; ~3 minutes

Try to pull truck up on ramps and push ramps across concrete, back up, move ramps back, stick truck in 4wd, pull truck up on ramps; ~2 minutes

Crack open beer, turn on radio in garage and find a good station; ~2 minutes

Hunt for 15mm wrench for drain plug in drawer, find wrench on table; ~2minutes

Remove drain plug, get old oil on hand, wrench, and garage floor. As oil drains, wipe off hand, wrench, floor, and drain plug; ~5 minutes

Finish beer, open another; ~3 minutes

Get yelled at by wife for something I did that I don't remember doing; ~2 minutes

Grease zerks on steering and suspension; ~7 minutes

Replace drain plug, slide pan underneath oil filter. Remove filter and allow to drain all over u-joint on front driveshaft. Prep new filter and install; ~4 minutes

Cuss GM for having the oil filter directly above the front drive shaft; ~30 seconds

Wipe u-joint of old oil; ~1 minute

Drink beer; 1 minute

Fill crank case with new oil; ~3 minutes

Drink beer; 1 minute

Start truck and back off of ramps, shut back off; 1 minute

Drink beer; 1 minute

Check oil level, drink more beer because I'm the man and filled it perfectly; 1 minute

Move truck, dump old oil back in to gallon jug to haul off, clean oil spilt on floor earlier; ~7 minutes

Finish beer, and go inside to apologize for whatever I did that I don't remember doing...The real mans job.
