ThanksHow to change transmission oil for Toyota Camry 2002 XLE?Is it stick shift or automatic transmission? Stick? you are better off to go to a mechanic. Automatic,1st, jack the front of the car and use a ramp if you have one, then you'll see a bolt on the transmission oil pan and loosen it but be sure to have a container wating for the fluid that would be flushed out (old tranny flud) change the filter as well. Then pour your new tranny fluid through the hole where your tranny fluid dip stick is inserted, use a funnel with extension. And you'll need a second person for the 3rd part. 3rd part would be checking its level and dip stick should indicate it but you must put the tranny in gear (D) to check the level. So you need another person to put it in gear while he is stepping on the brake. How to change transmission oil for Toyota Camry 2002 XLE?actually, that is service center territory. the tranny fluid, come out, when the pan comes off to change the filter and square size gasket. there is a plastic plug for adding fluid, but the sight glass for proper level, is under the car ware you cannot see it from under the hood. How to change transmission oil for Toyota Camry 2002 XLE?I am assuming it is an automatic. I am nor familiar with your car but you should know not all cars have drain plugs. The practice is to drop the pan which is held around the perimeter with small bolts--then the filter is replaced along with the fluid change. The fluid goes in where the stick goes.
