How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?

What things do I need if I want to change my oil on my 05 4runner? (oil filter, air filter what ???)How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?Finally, a laugh for lunch timeHow to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?All you need is oil (probably 5-6 quarts), oil filter, oil filter wrench and a drain pan. Your air filter should be inspected first before you change it. Check your dipstick or the top of the oil cap to see what grade oil you should use.How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?Check your user manual on your car, it'll tell you what type of oil you need and how many quarts. Typically, you would change the oil, oil filter and air filter (if it needs done).

Some people also check wiper blades and other fluids (wiper fluid, break fluid, coolant) while they are at it, but not all do.

Make sure after the oil is caught in the drip pan to empty the old oil into a container and take it back to the car part store so they can properly dispose of it. Some people use empty milk or water jugs for this. How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?No matter what vehicle u have all u need is enough oil (menual will tell how much) %26amp; oil filter. Besides u need tools, thats it!

Go underneath the vehicle, open the plug to drain old oil, wait few minutes, remove and install new oil filter, close the oil plug, add oil as specified. u r done!

It sounds like U haven't done this b 4. I advise u to go to a small repair shop where u can view how they do it.How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?If you need to ask how to do it, don't.How to change oil on my 2005 toyota 4runner?Very simple how ever it can cause serious damage to your engine over the simpliest mistakes, so if in doubht have some one show you , for as items needed for a 2005 4 runner if it has the v6 then catsrol 10w30 is the oil type the dealers service shop use you should either contact a dealer or check your manual on the amount of oil required i think it was like 5 1/2 quarts on the toyota 3.4 L v6 but i think the 2005 may have a 4.0

so check ur manual or call a local dealer ship and ask to speak with sevice center tell them the yr model engine size etc. they shpuld be able to tell you , so proper amount of oil, oil filter wrench, and a wrench to remove the drain plug in the oil pan I am unsure the size but a 8%26quot; adjustable (crecent wrench) is suitable,, drain the oil in a appropiate sized bucket or drain pan, remove the ol oilfilter ensure the rubber o ring seal is still on the old filter and not stuck to the engine

block next rub fresh oil on the gasket of the new filter fill the filter with oil and install the new filter hadtighten then use the wrench and make one turn to ensure seal is seated, reinstall the oil drain plug you removed and tighten it , next fill the engine with new oil and using the dip stick make sure it is full but remember a engine over filled is worse than underfill, start the engine and esnure the oillight goes off immediatley

check for leaks and wash off any spilled engine oil from the engine drive normally,,,, ( ensure you write down the mielage at the time of change so you can know when to do your next change. Hope i covered it all .. Good Luck.
